Social Skills Tip of the Day!
If you are talking on the phone, and someone approaches and stands in front of you like they are waiting for something, that means they are waiting for YOU to hang up the phone so they can talk to you.
Negative. It is rude to stand & wait - as if you are rushing someone off the phone. The polite thing would be to excuse yourself & return when they are off the phone.

ReplyDeleteGood Lord! Where do you find such polite people in a workplace? My own boss is usually the one standing over me, waiting for me to get off the phone!
